Great Human Bow for “Pink Awareness” is formed at CZFS

Over 800 women and men from the free trade zone formed the breast cancer awareness symbol.

Santiago de los Caballeros. – Friday, October the 27th 2023.- As part of the “Porque Te Quiero” (PQTQ) (Because I Love You) campaign, promoted by the Santiago Free Zone Corporation (CZFS) since 2015, more than 800 men and women from the Victor Espaillat Mera Industrial Park (PIVEM), formed the Great Human Ribbon symbolizing the fight and prevention message against breast cancer.

This year, “Pink Awareness” is the theme of the Health pillar initiative of the institution’s Social Responsibility Program. PQTQ designs the logistics that allow the Park’s employees, their families and the residents of the surrounding communities to receive mammograms and sonomammograms at the MĒDICA health center, with no co-payment, among other services.

Prior to the forming of the Great Human Bow, Fernando García, the Corporation’s Director of Operations, urged women not to put off their annual check-ups for later and to take a break from their engagements. “We encourage you to always stay alert: don’t let the rush and the day-to-day life take over, as breast cancer does not usually give you a warning,” García said.

Gynecologist Carola Liranzo spoke on behalf of MĒDICA and affirmed that the “Porque Te Quiero” (Because I Love You) campaign is a health opportunity for the women of the free trade zone. ” This is an action with a positive impact on our families, since how we are emotionally and physically impacts the family, neighborhood and work environment,” she assured.
