Santiago hosts Best Companies to Work in the North Region 2022

Santiago de los Caballeros. -This complex and challenging time, marked by the effects of the pandemic, European geopolitical tensions, and the prevailing winds of war, has brought us great lessons, enormous challenges, and transformations in the work environment. The Dominican Republic has stood out in this context as a country that has come out on top and is projecting itself to levels that surpass even the most encouraging projections.

However, companies had to adapt at lightning speed to provide responses to employees, leading companies to make a maximum effort to become a desirable company to work for, thanks to the qualities and guarantees that we will be discovering with our guests at the 2022 Best Companies to Work For Northern Region.

Gustavo Piantini, Director General of Employment of the Ministry of Labor, representing the National Government, opened the event, which brought together key players who masterfully manage the most renowned companies in the Cibao region.

Confronted with the challenges that reality poses, many leaders have wondered about factors that lay the foundations of future business culture: talent and welfare. To discuss this, the panelists included Ignacio Santoni, professor, and Commercial Director of BARNA as moderator and Guillermo Estrella, Managing Partner Estrella y Tupete Abogados; Frank Rodríguez, President Chancellor Universidad Tecnologica de Santiago; Pantaleón Salcedo, President Pantaleón Salcedo y Asociados; and Manuel Genao, Executive President Grupo Estrella as speakers.

However, what makes a company a good place to work? A question for futuristic leaders that was answered by Lucas Cabrejas, Human Resources Director Casa Brugal; Valerie Grullon, VP Corporate Affairs CCD; and Miguel Ben, Director of Human Talent Synergies Services.

The closing day we enjoyed the lecture – “Virtuoso” concert, by international guest Felipe Gómez Arbeláez. Business Administrator of the Universidad de los Andes in Bogota, with vast experience as an international speaker, who through music shared a lecture with the objective of stimulating the senses and offering tools to awaken the entrepreneurial potential of work teams through messages and models that inspire and motivate.
