PIVEM 2022 Road Safety and Education

As part of the Corporate Social Accountability campaign “Everyone Can Contribute”, the Santiago Free Trade Zone Corporation (CZFS), in alliance with the You Are the Country Foundation (FUNTUEEP, for its acronym in Spanish), launched the PIVEM 2022 Road Safety and Education Cultural Journey project, to contribute to modeling the productive community’s road behavior, creating citizen awareness and promoting the development of drivers of change.

Starting on January 28, this initiative will be held every Friday from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. through April, in the areas surrounding the Victor Espaillat Mera Industrial Park (PIVEM).

Pantomime artists who star in the events have the mission of communicating, influencing, and inspiring actions that generate positive behavioral changes in both pedestrians and vehicle drivers. The Corporation also emphasizes its commitment to promoting respect for pedestrian crosswalks and all road signs, contributing to educational and cultural development, as well as to strengthening civic values among PIVEM’s working people and the surrounding communities.

Frindy Mart铆nez, founder of FUNTUEEP, reaffirms that this project seeks to achieve a positive behavioral change that promotes reflection and self-regulation of every driver and pedestrian. “The Fundaci贸n You Are the Country (T煤 Eres el Pa铆s) aims to promote a social responsibility assumed by all citizens that implies a real and lasting commitment to our country,” Mart铆nez stated.
